Frequently Asked Questions
Does it hurt?
Although pain varies for each client and for different placement, most clients say their tattoo did not hurt or only hurt a little. Tattoos are commonly compared to the sensation of a cat scratch, hot needle, or persistent sting.
What is the healing process like?
After your appointment, your skin may feel sore or tender in the tattooed area. Within the first few days, your tattoo will produce plasma as your body adjusts to your new tattoo. Once the drainage reduces, the tattoo will become dry and usually will form scabs. These scabs will fall off in small sections and the tattooed area will be itchy. The tattoo will be done scabbing after about two weeks, and the skin will take about another two weeks to fully regenerate and regain its moisture. The skin in the tattooed area may feel dry for a few weeks after the scabbing process is finished. After about one month, your tattoo will be fully healed!
How long does it take to heal?
Healing time varies for each client, but the healing process usually takes about four weeks. The tattoo is considered healed when it is done scabbing, usually around two weeks after the appointment date. However, the skin will take about an additional two weeks for the skin to fully regenerate and regain its moisture.

When do I need a touchup?

After the first touchup, annual touchups are recommended every 1-1.5 year.
