Frequently Asked Questions
Am I a good candidate?
Ombre Powder Brows is suitable for all ages and all skin types.
To qualify, you must:
Be at least 18 years of age
Not be pregnant or breastfeeding
Not be using any blood thinning medications
Not have any major health issues
Not be prone to keloid scarring
Does it hurt?
Although pain varies for everybody, permanent makeup is generally minimally painful, comparable to brow threading or a cat scratch without numbing. Numbing cream is applied throughout the appointment to minimize discomfort.
What is the healing process like?
After your appointment, your brows may feel sore or tender. Within the first few days, your brows will darken due to scabs forming. These scabs will crack and peel off in small sections. After the scabs all fall off, the brows may appear lighter. The brows will regain color over the next few weeks, and the true healed color should appear around one month after the appointment.
How long does it take to heal?
Healing time varies for each client. Ombre Powder Brows typically takes 7-14 days to heal, but may take less or more days.
How long does it last?
Ombre Powder Brows typically lasts 2-3 years depending on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Everybody retains their results differently, but clients typically come back for a touchup every 1-1.5 year to maintain their shape and color.
When do I need a touchup?
The first touchup is recommended within 3 months after the first session. This is to ensure best results by touching up on areas that do not retain the pigment as well, to make any necessary adjustments to the color, and to lock in the color for longer lasting results.
After the first touchup, annual touchups are recommended every 1-1.5 year.
